Our Outside School Hours Care service, Chapel Hill State School Helping Hands , is looking for a passionate Coordinator to manage the service and provide engaging programs for our primary-age children. This is a permanent part-time opportunity offering 28 hours per week (guaranteed minimum) including 6 hours of non-contact administration time.
You will work across split shifts to support the service’s operating hours of Monday – Friday, 6:30am – 8:45am (Rise then Shine Program) and 3:00pm – 6:00pm (Stay and Play Program). You can pick up extra hours during the school holidays too!
About the role
Leading a team of Educators, you will manage a service at a primary school in the hours before and after school for children aged 5-12 years. You’ll have the support of a state specific office, plus regional managers who regularly visit and mentor you at your service. Develop and facilitate an engaging child-centered program full of exciting experiences such as STEM, sport, cooking, art and craft - whatever you and the children are into! Foster healthy relationships with children, the school, community, and parents Lead a team of Educators onsite, including roster management Manage the day-to-day operations of your service including compliance and administration

We can teach you about the job and sector, but a few basics you need to have: Enjoy working with kids Strong and clear communication Team player with a desire to become a service leader Hold or willing to obtain a national police check (we’ll pay for it!) and a state check for working with children Obtained or studying towards a relevant qualification to work with kids in OSHC per ACECQA Australian work rights
