Description:

Job Summary: You will play a vital role in all aspects of CATV Outside Plant activation, testing, maintenance, and construction, while using supervisory skills to lead our technical initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • CATV Outside Plant experience preferred
  • 5+ years of previous supervisory experience preferred
  • Must hold a valid state driver’s license and maintain a satisfactory driving record
  • Criminal background check and drug screening required
  • Must be able to obtain a DOT medical card
  • When business needs require must have the ability to work overtime, including weekends, holidays, and off hours

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Knowledge of HFC plant, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards.
  • Understanding all facets of fiber and coax testing and deployment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Must be able to stand and walk for an 8-hour shift; sit in a vehicle and drive to various locations for extended periods of time; push, pull, and lift up to 75 pounds or more; must be able to work in all temperatures, climates, and weather conditions; Must be able to work in heights and confined spaces; Ability to work in high-paced and at times stressful environments

Responsibilities:

  • Manage in house and subcontracted resources performing outside plant (OSP) activation, testing, maintenance, and management of construction projects.
  • Conduct OSP safety and project meetings
  • Maintain relationships with all stakeholders and keep them informed on project progress, issues, and projected completion dates.
  • Interface with business partners to coordinate schedules/plans and identify risks.
  • Conduct and manage quality control to ensure projects are executed safely to high standards that align with specifications.
  • Document all field changes and note them on the record set of “as built” drawings.
  • Assure the timely completion and submission of all proof of work documentation and daily reports.
  • Participate in accident investigations with operations fleet and safety departments. Determine degree of prevent-ability and coach employees on company standards for safety.
  • Assist with fleet maintenance program to assure proper usage and cost control.
  • Oversee field employees and mentor them to enable developmental growth. Lead and develop the team, providing oversight, vision and long-term direction.
  • Handle progressive discipline to employees in accordance with company policy.
  • Payroll and Job costing support
  • Oversee daily project sites, including managing equipment/materials and forecasting/ordering materials
  • Implement safety plans and serve as the liaison between job sites and leadership/HR
  • Meet and exceed client and industry standards through proper techniques, timely completions, and outstanding customer service
