The Emerson Measurement Solutions Group’s Metrology & Consultancy Services Team was formed to provide authoritative support throughout the Middle East & Africa. The SME & Consultancy Services Team provide consultancy support both internally to the Measurement Solutions Group’s Service, Systems and Sales teams as well as directly supporting Emerson’s customers throughout the Middle East & Africa!

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS THAT SET YOU APART:

  • CCNA certification is preferred.
  • Experience deploying and implementing OT Cybersecurity applications and technologies such as risk assessments, antivirus software, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, centralized alert logging and monitoring in ICS environments (energy companies or large manufacturing organizations).
  • Strong communication and partnership skills, with the ability to coordinate with multi-functional teams, site personnel, and external partners.

Responsibilities:

IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:

Assist in Developing OT Cybersecurity Solutions.

  • Sporting the MEA Measurement Solutions Group by providing domain expertise in the design and implementation of operational technology (OT) Cybersecurity solutions deployed to the MSOL systems.
  • Recommend Cybersecurity measures and solution to be implemented in compliance with the cybersecurity standards, and good practices, customer requirements and regulations. Contribute to defining project objectives, scope, and work.
  • Assist in developing system architectures and integration plans of the MSOL systems.
  • Supervising new technologies, industry developments, and standard process in relation to OT cyber security.

Conduct Cybersecurity Assessments:

  • Participate in Cybersecurity workshops, risk assessments and remediation engagements for customers.
  • Prepare system adequacy studies, gap analysis, Cybersecurity reports, and scope of work documents on new and existing MSOL systems with respect to the Cybersecurity measures.
  • Conduct Cybersecurity reviews on new and existing systems and provide experienced advice on modifications and improvements to address the identified gaps.

Support Cybersecurity Solutions Implementation:

  • Implement security controls, configuring the Cybersecurity applications and switches, to ensure compliance with regulations and standards, including Patch Management solution and hardening of network infrastructure.
  • Conduct detailed testing and validation of OS and AV updates in a lab environment before deployment to the measurement systems, ensuring compatibility and stability.
  • Collaborating with engineering teams, IT teams, and other collaborators to implement effective cyber security standard processes and solutions.
  • Assist in testing, solving, and optimizing OT systems, including log analysis.
  • Support the training department by conducting customer training.
  • Adhering to local and international Emerson Trade Compliance and Quality Management procedures, as well as the Emerson Ethics Policy, with respect to all business activities
  • Adhering to Emerson’s dedication to Safety as a core business value: taking an active role in the prevention of injuries and accidents; consistently following established rules and procedures; using proper safety equipment; and reporting and correcting unsafe acts and conditions.
  • Participate in Factory/Site Acceptance Test (FAT/SAT) as needed

FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in electrical engineering, Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (10+ years) working in the field of OT cybersecurity, with a specific focus on control systems, HMI, PLC and SCADA systems and supporting industrial communication protocols.
  • Experience in measurement systems is a preference.
  • Comprehensive validated understanding of OT cybersecurity frameworks, standards and their application in the oil and gas sector.
  • Experience with one or more of the following: IEC 62443/ISA 99, ISO 27001, NIST CSF is a must; certification in ISA/IEC 62443 is preferred.
