Summary
We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic member of staff to cover a maternity leave and work in our large, vibrant and thriving out of school club. The successful candidate must be highly committed, enthusiastic and show great initiative, alongside a willingness to support the established ethos of the club, which seeks to ensure that children are happy, feel safe and have fun.
Main duties include:
- Preparing and delivering quality play opportunities within a safe and caring environment.
- Providing comprehensive care for the children including registering them into the club and delivering them safely to parents/carers.
- Providing refreshments and ensuring that hygiene, health and safety standards are met.
- Administering first aid when necessary.
- Consulting with children and involving them in planning activities.
- Undertaking appropriate and relevant training.
- Monitoring and maintaining a healthy, safe and secure working environment.
- Working within the framework of the club’s policies and procedures.
- Playing with the children.
- Maintaining a high standard of behaviour.
- Being flexible and having a sense of humour.

Essential Qualifications
- Relevant NVQ level 2 qualification (or a willingness to study for this qualification)

- Relevant NVQ level 2 qualification (eg Childcare) or above
- Paediatric First Aid certificate
