Description:
OUTAGE PLANNING ENGINEER

Are you looking for a role where your knowledge, skills and experiences are utilised in a unique and testing environment?
Responsibilities:
Working as part of a team, you will prepare outage plans and ensure that resources, spares, risks and plant release are organised for a specific area. During the outage execution, you will monitor progress and support delivery, highlighting risks to the lead planner and Outage Group Head.
Other responsibilities in this role include:
- Developing fully logic linked and resource tasked plans for specific plant areas, reviewing historic plans to identify differences and review these with appropriate station departments.
- Managing ‘Scope Change’ during the preparation phase.
- Identifying risks and including details of risk mitigations.
- Liaising with the outage plant area Lead to run the area outage preparation meetings as well as recording and tracking actions.
- Maintaining plans during the outage execution phase by updating progress, tracking critical path, building in and managing the impact of emergent work and identifying any errors or improvements required in the plan.
- Working with Operations to check and revise plans to maintain Tech Spec and other compliance requirements and to maximise ‘Defence in Depth’.
- Supporting activities to deliver Pre-Outage Milestone Plans (POMP) for both statutory, off load refuelling outages and Fuel Route outages.
- Liaising with the operational work planning team to ensure that pre and post outage work is identified and delivered as required to support successful outages.
