Description:

We require an enthusiastic team player to join the Outpatients Department who will be responsible for being the main point of contact in confirming and booking clinics. The post holder would be required to work Monday to Friday from 08.30 - 16.30 and flex their hours dependent on the needs of the service.

This role will involve the following duties:

  • Liaising with consultants and medical secretaries to build up a strong rapport and working partnership
  • Have a strong knowledge of the outpatient department and services and how they interact
  • Build a strong rapport with internal stakeholders such as the nursing team and admin teams
  • Be responsible for collating clinic lists to ensure they are booked on the system
  • Be responsible for giving ad hoc clinics and lists in the minor procedure room
  • Be responsible for gathering leave dates
  • Work towards always ensuring that requests are fulfilled where appropriate and escalating any queries to senior leaders.
  • Supporting the contact centre to ensure access to consultants diaries are maintained and everyone is aware who is in clinic
  • Filling in reports and gathering data
