Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Outpatient Improvement & Redevelopment Manager at our Stepping Hill hospital.
This post will be a fixed term or secondment position funded for 12 months.
The post holder will play a pivotal role in supporting teams in the provision and stabilisation of the current displaced outpatient activity. This will require working directly with both the outpatient and divisional teams (clinical and non-clinical) to ensure the current outpatient estate is used efficiently and effectively.
The post holder will also be responsible for managing the future changes needed to deliver safe and effective outpatient service in the new build.
The post holder will lead for the operational management for the current displaced outpatient activity, working with outpatient and divisional and corporate teams to maintain outpatient activity and look to offer solutions to further improve the outpatient provision for patients and staff.
The role will be the key contact for the management of the redevelopment and move to the new outpatient building by working outpatient and divisional and corporate teams to support the development of the build whilst taking every opportunity to recognise and support innovations in pathways that the new build opens up for the teams.

Responsibilities:
- Communication
- Review, develop, and deploy communication strategies needed to deliver outpatient services.
- Employ expert negotiation and diplomacy skills with all key working relationships in order to communicate highly complex and frequently sensitive or contentious information necessary to achieve goals.
- Persuade and influence senior managers and clinicians of the importance of a change agenda.
- Maintain high standards in documentation and presentation production.
- Develop and maintain plans to ensure timescales are met.
- Demonstrate highly evolved operational management skills and expertise both within the trust and the wider health care community.
- To be able to operationally manage specific outpatient change, this will require developing good working relationships with the outpatient and divisional teams in the development and changes to the delivery of their outpatient services.
- Develop robust communications processes to communicate effectively the work and service progress as required for the organisation at the team, divisional, and executive levels.
- Plan and facilitate group discussions and workshops; encourage participation and collaborative working of stakeholders.
- Work with the organisational and development teams on the embedding of cultural and organisational change to ensure consistency and successful service delivery is achieved
