Responsibilities:

The Mathematical Institute and Department of Statistics are internationally renowned departments which work closely together and deliver joint undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. Our mathematical research, impact and environment have twice been ranked first in the UK, in the 2021 and 2014 Research Excellence Framework exercises, a government review of research in all UK universities. The two departments are committed both to academic excellence and the opportunity to study for all enthusiastic and gifted prospective undergraduates.
Reporting to the Admissions and Outreach Coordinator, you will be part of a small and busy team of professional administrators responsible for the efficient and smooth running of outreach initiatives in mathematical sciences, working to support the departments’ progress towards their equality, diversity and inclusion goals, including their Athena SWAN and Race Equality Action Plans. Whilst undergraduate outreach initiatives will occupy the majority of your time, the two departments are beginning to develop postgraduate initiatives which you will also be expected to support. You will contribute to the planning, delivery and evaluation of outreach initiatives, including events, working with potential applicants, teachers, faculty and professional services colleagues from across the collegiate University, as well as a variety of internal and external partners.
You will provide a professional, efficient and friendly first point of contact for enquiries; be a self-starter and an enthusiastic team player.
