Description:

INTRODUCTION

Prince William County Government seeks an Outreach & Education Coordinator (Communications Analyst) to join the Human Rights Office. If you prefer being out in the community to sitting behind a desk, this is a career opportunity for you! In this role, you will engage with current community partners and have the autonomy to develop new partnerships through established outreach initiatives and new education and outreach curriculum you develop. We are looking for a candidate to bring fresh ideas and originality to our mission of advocacy, education and outreach.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate outreach and education for the Office of Human Rights.
Create and host webinars
Create and disseminate quarterly newsletters
Develop and implement robust communication and engagement strategies to advance the goals and objectives of the Human Rights Office.
Create opportunities for education and outreach through partnerships with organizations throughout the county.
Establish and maintain effective relationships with public/private civic groups, organizations, and county agencies.
Maintain a calendar of outreach activities, including community events, workshops, appearances, and other communication and engagement opportunities.
Liaise with and actively participate in county-wide outreach committees and report on meetings to senior management.
Design and produce webinars and newsletters and update our outreach and education webpage.
Coordinate the award-winning Student Leadership Council Program.
Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or G.E.D. and 4 years of communication and community engagement experience.
