Description:

The Outreach Coordinator is responsible for developing and implementing Outreach strategies and community-building efforts for JCCGCl’s Older Adult Center Program to maximize JCCGCI’s client engagement and promotion of Older Adult Center resources, programs, and services that are available to all eligible Older Adult Center clients.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Overseeing outreach by providing active marketing and community outreach to promote Older Adult Center resources, programs, and services that promote wellness resources.
  • Building a rapport with community stakeholders to develop resources for the Older Adult Center, and utilize community resources to increase awareness of Older Adult Center programming.
  • Manage calendar of monthly events, activities, and trips.
  • Develop promotional materials for Older Adult Center programs, services, trips, and ensure awareness amongst eligible clients and Elected Officials.
  • Conduct or facilitate activities or workshops for Older Adults.
  • Maintain a direct client caseload of case assistance clients.
  • Provide outreach outcome updates to Program Director to be provided in reports.
  • Actively participate in program-related meetings and trainings.
  • Staying current with networking, outreach, communication and technological advances.
  • Serving as a representative of JCCGCI’s Older Adult Centers and their programs and services.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, Marketing or related field preferred.
  • Prior social-service and marketing/public relations experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift 15 pounds and can sit for prolonged periods of computer and desk work.
  • Cultural Sensitivity.
  • Excellent written, communicative and interpersonal skills; Bi-lingual English-Russian or Mandarin preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, and data entry; basic knowledge of computer networking processes.
  • Accurate data-entry and typing skills.
  • Flexibility to occasionally work over schedule or odd schedules (e.g.when work is best accomplished after-hours or on weekends).
