We’re looking for an enthusiastic and creative Outreach & Engagement Associate to join our dynamic team at Edmonton Transit Service (ETS)!
As an integral part of the Transit Planning, Ridership & Revenue , and the Workforce Operations Support sections; you will be responsible for developing and implementing outreach campaigns to engage diverse audiences and build awareness about ETS. This includes building awareness for career opportunities with ETS with a focus on diversity, equity and inclusion; and strategizing and executing external operating campaigns to engage audiences and build awareness about ETS rider and community engagement, support for ETS programs.
SKILLS REQUIRED FOR SUCCESS
- Knowledge of the methodologies involved in market research and analysis such as market research surveys, personal interviews, focus groups, social media engagement, and competitive analysis
- Ability to analyze the interplay between product/service planning and market conditions
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop and implement highly creative ideas
- Creative problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of marketing principles and best practices
- Proficiency in social media platforms, digital marketing tools and outreach tools

Qualifications:
- University degree in business, communications, commerce, marketing, education or a related field
- Two (2) years of experience in marketing, including online and digital (social media) marketin
Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute outreach activities that build community partnerships and promote ETS career opportunities
- Develop and implement a Strategic Community Outreach plan to guide promotional activities and campaigns related to the Transit Operator (Bus Driver) position
- Attend various events to promote the career opportunities within ETS and build relationships with potential collaborators
- Plan and coordinate ETS Hiring and Recruitment Information Sessions and other recruitment events such as job fairs
- Develop, plan, and manage promotional materials and marketing projects
- Research and implement recruitment tactics to attract a diverse workforce
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify target audiences and create tailored messaging
- Develop, track, and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of outreach campaigns
- Provide direction and support with other Rider Engagement outreach, transit space activations and external partnership fulfillment initiatives
