A BIT ABOUT THE ROLE

The Outreach Support Worker will work within our ADP Service in Street work and our weekly Youth Club. Street work is run in the evening either Friday or Saturday and is a combination of evening support in community for young people who are out and about in Stornoway as well as supporting participation in planned activities to redirect young people to make healthier use of their time while building self-esteem and confidence. The Outreach Support Worker will also work at our weekly youth club based in the Bridge Centre on Friday nights and will work with young people to encourage them to engage in activities to help build positive and safe relationships with the community. In this role you will help young people by building a trusting relationship by acting as supportive adult, offering advice and information on health, wellbeing, relationships, work/educational attainment and encouraging participation.
