Description:

Specialty Steel Service is a leading provider of hard-to-find, small cuts of steel and aluminum. We aim to provide our customers with a quick turnaround so they can maintain and improve their uptime and on-time performance.
We are looking for an Outside Sales Executive who will play a vital role in helping our company achieve aggressive growth plans, both financially and culturally. This role will continually follow up with existing customers and find new customer opportunities, ensuring value is provided as efficiently as possible. They will also develop leads and seeking opportunities to present additional products to current customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop product knowledge to answer customer questions
  • Travel up and down Wasatch Front (in company vehicle) to meet customers and find new customers
  • Close deals and process payments
  • Follow up with customers
  • Develop leads and referrals
  • Create and execute marketing plans
  • Strive to achieve monthly sales quotas
  • Use excellent oral communication and best practices in customer service when interacting with customers

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of and experience with metallurgy
  • Demonstrated experience with learning new concepts quickly
  • Ability to quickly establish rapport with a wide variety of customers and close sales
  • 3+ years of experience in sales is preferred
  • Strong math skills and tools experience are preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
