JOB DESCRIPTION:

The responsibilities will include representing the company in the community, nurturing the existing client base, and prospecting for and developing new clients. The Sales Consultant initiates phone calls, setting up meetings, cold calling in the assigned territory, making presentations, and following-up with clients and prospects.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Conduct cold-calls to businesses within assigned territories to obtain information about gatekeepers and decision-makers for that business.
  • Make calls to establish appointments for presenting information about products and services.
  • Develop client relationships and make presentations using Redwire presentation tools to communicate to the client the unique products and services available only through Redwire.
  • Develop specific, tailored proposals based on client needs and present the proposals to the clients using established pricing methods approved by management.
  • Follow-up with the client to close the sale, sign the Client Agreement, collect the agreed revenues, and schedule the installation of the proposed system.
  • Complete the sale by demonstrating the system to the client and collecting any remaining revenues, when necessary.
  • Make site visits to existing customers to assess their needs and requirements.
  • Maintain contact with existing clients to further develop relationships and to ensure ongoing support after the sale.

Position Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in marketing or sales is preferred.
  • A propensity to work with and for people.
  • A positive attitude, high motivation, and inclination towards self-direction.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Public Safety and Security — Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.
  • Customer and Personal Service — Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Sales and Marketing — Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.
  • Education and Training — Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.
  • Dependability — Knowledge and willingness to follow a certain schedule, be consistent with communication with other departments, and have an overall sense of accountability towards the position
  • Stress Tolerance — Knowledge of how to effectively and efficiently diffuse certain situations, not let yourself become overwhelmed, and still provide good work.

  • Lift up to 15 pounds.
