In line with the firm’s strategy, the Finance department is developing and enhancing its capabilities. The team is modernising and standardising its financial systems and processes in order to ensure efficiency and scalability as the firm continues to grow. This is an exciting time to be part of the firm’s Finance department and we expect new joiners to actively contribute to the development of the function.

QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong academic background
  • Educated to degree level
  • Qualified accountant: ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

  • Accounting and finance related experience gained in industry or in practice
  • Significant post qualified experience
  • Experience of leading and motivating a small team of accountants
  • Proven track record of establishing strong relationships with senior stakeholders
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of UK GAAP
  • Proven ability to drive changes and implement new policies / processes
  • Demonstrate ability to work well as a team
  • Experience of working in a high paced deadline driven environment
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills

Responsibilities:

  • Leads, motivates and develops a small team of accountants responsible for business partnering and financial oversight of Lockton’s overseas businesses.
  • Oversight of the monthly, quarterly and annual financial close process and consolidation of the overseas entities ensuring accurate and timely reporting of financial results and balance sheets
  • Review and analysis of financial results, balance sheets and cash flow of the overseas entities including provision of detailed commentary for consolidated reporting of the International business.
  • Overseeing the annual group audits for overseas and ensuring timely delivery of audit schedules to the group auditors.
  • Support the overseas regions in the production of annual budgets and forecasts, working with the FP+A team in the UK and in accordance with group timelines.
  • Plays a role in the significant project to roll out a new general ledger system globally
  • Provide financial support and guidance during business acquisitions specifically regarding technical accounting support, funding and implementation of systems and processes.
  • Ensures effective reporting and monitoring of balance sheets across the international group.
