Description:
Location: Wilgena
Job type: Full Time, Permanant
Wilgena Station is a 5000sqkm sheep station located 400km North West of Port operating a self replacing merino enterprise, shearing approx. 25,000 sheep.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- A current overseer, or a Senior Station Hand, with at least 3 years’ experience, looking for their next step into a leadership role.
- Experience working in pastoral country with a sound understanding of water and bore maintenance with solar pumps.
- Sound knowledge and experience in livestock and all aspects of animal husbandry.
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge in station maintenance including infrastructure, plant and equipment (yards, water points, fencing, bore maintenance, farm vehicles).
- Experience managing teams, including station employees and contractors.
- Ability to plan and coordinate tasks such as mustering and yard operations.
- A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
- The ability to lead the team in the managers absence.
- The ability to utilise various work-based apps and platforms including Agriwebb.
- Current car and motorbike license is essential
