Description:

The purpose of the Vendor Prequalification & Compliance Officer is to support Accounts payable operations as part of the Business Service Centre to a consistently high standard and in accordance with The Downer Standard, key Global Solutions (systems) and Service Level Agreements (SLA).
As a Vendor Prequalification & Compliance Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of our vendor management process. You will be responsible for evaluating potential vendors, assessing their qualifications, and maintaining accurate records of approved vendors. Your meticulous attention to detail and ability to communicate effectively will contribute to the smooth operation of our procurement activities.

Accounts payable operations as part of the Business Service Centre to a consistently high standard and in accordance with The Downer Standard, key Global Solutions (systems) and Service Level Agreements (SLA).

  • Bachelor’s degree in discipline such as Business Administration, Finance or Supply chain management
  • JDE/SAP or similar ERP as a user
  • Felix Vendor Management System (Advantageous but not necessary)
  • Experience negotiating/managing contracts.
  • Strong communication and conflict resolution experience
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Compliance or Vendor Management role (3+ years preferred)
  • Stakeholder management, dealing with external suppliers and key business stakeholders.
  • High volume data entry environment, preferred Share Services
