IN YOUR PERSONAL SKILLSET YOU HAVE

  • Degree level qualification in a power electric or automation engineering discipline.
  • Minimum five years of experience in designing and implementing industrial low voltage power systems, knowledge about medium voltage is a plus.
  • Ability to consult and negotiate with customers and suppliers to prepare robust specifications, explain proposals in an engaging manner and present results in clear and factual engineering reports
  • Experience to perform acceptance tests and to supervise the installation and commissioning during start-up
  • Knowledge about European electrical standards. North American standards will be a plus
  • Experience in the preparation and evaluation of short-circuit and harmonic studies is an advantage.
  • Strong communication, analytical and planning skills
  • Solution/team/customer oriented with the confidence to act pro-actively
  • Fluent in English. Another European language is an advantageWillingness to travel for at least 5 days per month

Responsibilities:

  • Design concepts for power distribution and rectifier systems at plant level
  • Research and evaluate potential partners and suppliers
  • Define and create electrical studies (e.g. short circuit, harmonic, arc flash protection and coordination, grounding)
  • Establish and manage electrical design standards
  • Advise sales and execution projects about electric system cost and design
  • Prepare electrical basic design documents
  • Create and evaluate inquires for the procurement process
  • Participate HAZOP and LOPA studies
  • Work closely with project management and disciplines such as piping, layout, static and rotating equipment and automation disciplines both in the proposal and engineering phase
  • Be the interface to the electrical hardware engineers
  • Lead hardware FATs and SATs
  • Be part of the commissioning, start-up, and optimization team
