Description:
MAGEE WOMEN’S HOSPITAL IS LOOKING FOR A FULL-TIME CRNP OR PA TO WORK WITHIN THE DIVISION OF GYNECOLOGY SPECIALTIES. GYNECOLOGY SPECIALTIES PROVIDES CARE TO A WIDE RANGE OF PATIENTS, INCLUDING PATIENTS WITH A HISTORY OF ENDOMETRIOSIS, CHRONIC GYNECOLOGIC CONCERNS, THOSE SEEKING CARE WITH OUR FIBROID TREATMENT CENTER, WOMEN SEEKING MENOPAUSAL CARE IN OUR MIDLIFE CENTER, AND THOSE WITH RECURRENT OR SUDDEN PREGNANCY LOSS INCLUDING PREGNANCY OPTIONS COUNSELING AND SUPPORT TO THOSE WITH RECURRENT OR SUDDEN PREGNANCY LOSS. THE DIVISION IS STAFFED BY 11 ATTENDINGS, 5 APPS, AND IS SUPPORTED BY SEVERAL NURSES, MEDICAL ASSISTANTS, SCHEDULERS, AND OTHER SUPPORTIVE STAFF.
We are seeking an APP who will primarily work in the Midlife Health office, caring for women seeking menopausal care. The ideal candidate will work closely with our team of clinical staff, support staff and schedulers to assure we provide a comprehensive approach to care. The individual will need to have strong communication skills, enjoy collaborating with other members on the team, and have a passion for women’s health.
Hours: 4 10-hour shifts; Monday-Friday, daylight hours. No weekends or on-call.
Location: Magee Women’s Hospital - Midlife Health Center
Position Specifics: Gynecology Specialties provides care to a wide range of patients, including patients with a history of endometriosis, chronic gynecologic concerns, those seeking care with our fibroid treatment center, women seeking menopausal care in our Midlife Center, and those with recurrent or sudden pregnancy loss including pregnancy options counseling and support to those with recurrent or sudden pregnancy loss.
Given the rapid growth of our department, some travel to satellite offices in the future may be required.
Department Details: Staffed by 11 attendings, 5 APPs, and is supported by several nurses, medical assistants, schedulers, and other supportive staff.

This position is dependent upon successful attainment and maintenance of hospital privileges, if applicable to the Business Unit practice.
LICENSURE, EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS, AND CLEARANCES
Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP):
- The successful completion of an approved nurse practitioner program is required
- BSN, MSN is preferred
- Professional nursing experience and/or nurse practitioner experience is preferred
- Current state RN license and CRNP certification are required
- National certification, eligible for licensure by Pennsylvania board of nursing, eligible for certification as a CRNP by Pennsylvania state board of nursing
- Current CPR certification is required
- Act 33 Clearance will be required
- Act 73 Clearance will be required
- Act 34 Clearance required
Physician Assistant (PA):
- A graduate of a physician assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the physician assistant (ARC-PA) is required
- BS or MS candidate is preferred
- Experience as a physician assistant and/or experience in a clinical setting is preferred
- Current state PA license certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) is required
- Current CPR certification is required
- Act 33 Clearance will be required
- Act 73 Clearance will be required
- Act 34 Clearance required

Clinical practice demonstrates knowledge of how quality and innovation impacts patient satisfaction, safety, and clinical quality outcomes.
