We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Packaging Technologist to support the delivery of our Sustainable Packaging Strategy. In this role, you will work alongside the Senior Packaging Technologist, suppliers, and product teams to help develop our packaging standards that ensure quality, consistency, and suitability for our multi-channel operations.
This role is ideal for someone with a natural curiosity, a strong drive to learn, and the ability to collaborate effectively across various levels and functions within our global supply chain, corporate teams, and logistics operations.
This role is a hybrid opportunity (Office location Leicester Syston).

Responsibilities:
- Support packaging development projects to reduce damages, improve performance, and meet sustainability goals.
- Work with suppliers to ensure packaging standards are met and compliant.
- Review packaging data and identify key issues and opportunities.
- Assist in updating packaging manuals and managing sample submissions.
- Address packaging queries, collaborating with commercial teams and suppliers to resolve issues promptly.
- Research and suggest improvements for packaging standards.
- Manage project timelines and ensure critical path milestones are achieved.
- Ensure compliance with audit and regulatory packaging requirements.
- Conduct occasional site visits to suppliers and distribution centres in the UK.
