YOUR SKILLS

  • Degree or equivalent in Packaging, Mechanical or Polymer Engineering.
  • 3+ year experience in a packaging science & technology related role and/or experience in packaging sustainability an advantage.
  • Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes for packaging.
  • Open minded and motivated individual with desire to learn.
  • Strong IT skills; familiarity with Microsoft Packages.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the development, implementation and communication of the packaging sustainability strategy.
  • Scouting for new packaging materials and technologies for potential use by Henkel.
  • Laboratory testing for packaging and technology related projects with internal and external partners.
  • Maintenance of records and reports of all work programs and presentation of results to stakeholders when required.
  • Where required, participation in internal and external working groups on sustainable packaging.
  • Working in close collaboration with all internal stakeholders to achieve sustainability goals.
  • Acquiring and maintaining a working knowledge of packaging legislation and policy requirements.
  • Acting in compliance with both the legal requirement and the Henkel and Adhesives requirements resulting from the SHEQ policies, standards and procedures and code of conduct for the functions performed.
