Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our Munitions teams in Benalla and Mulwala produce propellants, explosives and munitions for defence and commercial uses. With ongoing investment into research and development, we produce some of the world’s most high-performing guided weapons and explosive ordnance systems. And being at the forefront of a rapidly evolving industry gives our teams constant opportunities to build on their technical expertise.

WORKING AT OUR SITES IN BENALLA AND MULWALA - PANGERANG AND YORTA YORTA LAND, YOUR ROLE PURPOSE IS TO -

  • Developing and maintaining packaging solutions which are fit for purpose, meet the required dangerous goods transport codes, are able to be scaled up for industrialisation, and meet all commercial requirements.
  • Writing technical and supporting documents for packaging solutions, and compiling safety case documentation for submission to the relevant Design Authority.
  • Managing and co-ordinating with other functions to ensure packaging artwork and designs are appropriately captured in design files, technical drawings, and production operating instructions, for both new and existing packaging solutions.
  • Supporting pilot phase through to industrialisation of packaging solutions.
  • Building on relationships between production, operations and technical functions, through open two-way communication to ensure AM is operating as a true one-team business.

ON DAY ONE IN THIS ROLE, WE’LL EXPECT YOU TO BRING THE FOLLOWING SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND BEHAVIOURS:

  • Degree in engineering or equivalent qualifications in Mechanical, Industrial or Production discipline
  • Previous experience in a similar engineering / technician position in support manufacturing
  • Strong team skills and the ability to successfully interact with various stakeholder groups
