Description:

PACKAGING TECHNICIAN, PHARMACEUTICALS

We are recruiting for a Packaging Technician to operate high speed pharmaceutical packaging equipment including blister filling, bottle filling, cartoning, labelling, check weighing and over wrapping equipment.
To be considered for this vacancy, ideally candidates will have experience of working as a Packaging Technician in the Pharmaceuticals industry. Candidates will also be considered who have worked within a GMP environment such as Food or Cosmetics manufacturing with automated packaging lines or another similar production environment and are keen develop themselves and learn new skills.

We offer a comprehensive and ongoing training programme, a friendly and supportive team environment, and an attractive Monday to Friday rotating shift pattern.

  • Annual salary starting from £26,278 including 14% shift allowance
  • Monday to Friday, alternating weekly early to late shift pattern. Earlies (0630 - 1415) / Lates (1400 - 2145) Monday to Friday

Responsibilities:

You will be

  • Operating various packaging equipment including blister filling, bottle filling, cartoning, labelling, check weighing and over wrapping equipment.
  • Cleaning the equipment and the work area.
  • Understanding and following site Health and Safety procedures and maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Understanding and following GMP and maintaining high housekeeping standards.
  • Following verbal and detailed written processing instructions with accuracy.
  • Completing batch processing documents using simple mathematical calculations.
  • Assisting with setting of lines during changeovers.
  • Moving and lifting components and equipment using mechanical aids as appropriate
