POSITION SUMMARY
Schedule: Part-Time, On-Call, Monday-Friday. Assigned shifts may be 8 or 10 hours (must be available for both).
Packaging Technicians play a vital role in the successful production of our beverages. They are expected to operate with integrity and a high level of focus in all positions on the production line to ensure we are sending the highest quality products possible to our customers.
An ideal applicant will be highly skilled, consistently punctual and enjoy working with a variety of skilled individuals who share similar values and goals.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Forklift and pallet jack experience preferred but not required
- Keen attention to detail
- Heightened awareness of safety precautions and hazards for self and others
- Ability to work with a team to achieve production goals
- Positive and team oriented attitude
- Extended shifts and overtime may needed based on business needs
- Flexibility in work hours is necessary to meet operational demands
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or GED required
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- 30 minute unpaid Lunch break; Two 15 minute breaks Paid
- Space can be crowded with manufacturing equipment. Must remain aware of forklift traffic.
- Noisy; some areas can be dusty. May encounter extremes in temperature.
- Requires standing, walking, pushing, pulling, stooping, or lifting 100% of the time, occasionally walking on uneven, slippery surfaces.
- Duties may include lifting and maneuvering heavy equipment and/or parts. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly (solo) and up to 100 pounds occasionally with assistance.

Responsibilities:
GENERAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct safety inspections of packaging equipment and work areas.
- Report any safety hazards or incidents to the Packaging Supervisor immediately.
- Participate in safety training sessions and contribute to a culture of safety awareness.
- Assist in the setup, breakdown, and cleaning of any of the bottling lines on packing days
- Work a variety of positions on the packaging lines throughout the day.
- Ensure that product being handled at your particular station meets standards of quality (caps fastened, liquid level appropriate, labels level, boxes secure)
- Fill and clean kegs when needed
- Daily cleaning and set-up following Good Manufacturing Practices
- Perform case flavor mixing as needed
- Thorough deep cleaning or special projects may be deemed necessary on an as needed basis
- Participate in training sessions that may include, but are not limited to safety protocols, operational procedures, skill development and compliance requirements.
FOOD SAFETY AND QUALITY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Follow GMP policy when in the production facility and encourage your team to do the same.
- Understand our SQF policies relating to pest control, visitors, allergen management, and cleaning and sanitation.
- Demonstrate awareness of Management’s Commitment to SQF and work towards Food Safety and Quality and help the company meet this commitment.
- If there is a problem that involves food quality and safety, report to the Quality Assurance Manager so that the CAPA (corrective action, preventative action) log may be filled out, the situation be investigated, and resolved with the goal of continuous improvement of food quality and safety.
