HOW YOU WILL MAKE CONTRIBUTIONS THAT MATTER:

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated Packaging Technologist to join our Research & Development team, based at our office in Southbank.

You’ll work cross-functionally and draw on your technical expertise to provide packaging technical leadership for the business, including:

• Technical input on new packaging development and quality improvements,
• Technical support and advice to Operations, Procurement, Marketing and NPD teams
• Partnering with vendors to deliver on quality initiatives and ensure continuity of supply
• Ensuring any changes to product packaging align with Saputo’s product safety and environmental sustainability requirements, as well as maximising cost savings

You’ll play an integral role in many of our key business initiatives and will develop effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation. Some travel to our Operations sites, located across VIC and TAS, will be required.

ABOUT YOU:

We’re looking for someone with:

• Relevant qualifications and proven experience in a similar packaging technologist role, within an FMCG environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and identify opportunities for process improvement
• The ability to work autonomously, but also to be comfortable asking questions when required

You’re naturally curious and enjoy understanding how things work and fit together. You enjoy working with people and are comfortable prioritising your workload and dealing with ambiguity.
