Description of role:
Yourgene Health, part of Novacyt Group are recruiting for an experienced Packing Operative. This new Packing Operative role is based at the our site in Manchester Science Park. The successful candidate will be instrumental in the implementation of a new processes into the site. Accurate picking and packing of components into a variety of finished test kits will require a great attention to detail as orders may vary greatly. You will work closely with the Logistics Team to ensure an efficient turnaround of orders from picking, packing to shipment. With continuous improvement being one of our priorities we are looking for someone with experience in process review and implementation, the ability to think creatively and “get things done”.

Key areas of responsibility:

• Assist in transferring existing processes into the Manchester site.
• Pick, pack and prepare orders for shipping within the agreed SLA’s
• Perform packing runs to ensure required amount of kits are packed in line with pending orders and to stock.
• Receiving and booking in of delivered materials
• Ensure all goods and materials are stored in the appropriate temperature controlled environment.
• Maintenance of stock records, cycle counting and stock taking
• Preparation and completion of dispatch documentation
• Packing goods ready for dispatch & dispatching of finished product to customers
• Packing line clearance and maintenance of warehouse environment

Qualifications, Skills and Abilities:

• Experience of working in a similar function essential
• Experience of working and adhering to 13485 Quality Management Systems
• Excellent planning and organizational skills with great attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work independently
• Enthusiasm, drive, thoroughness, accountability
• Able to work under pressure and consistently meet deadlines
• Good IT skills including Microsoft Office
