Description:
EDUCATION / TRAINING
- To identify and develop personal training needs in conjunction with individual performance reviews and the needs of the Department. This may be influenced by business needs, service demands and or legislative requirement.
- To attend and maintain mandatory training deemed compulsory by the Hermitage Medical Clinic including Fire training, Infection Control and customer care
- Participate in instruction and training of new administration staff as commensurate with the role
LEARNING AND EDUCATION
- Take personal responsibility for own professional development and keep up to date with evidence based practice and research.
Attend and participate in staff development programmes on an ongoing basis.
To identify and develop personal training needs in conjunction with individual performance reviews and the needs of the Department.
Attend all mandatory training days and ensure that all mandatary training is in date.
- Assist with the orientation and induction of new staff, helping them to integrate as members of the team.
- Comply with all HR systems and policy requirements.
- Quality Improvement and Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with all relevant Hermitage Medical Clinic guidelines, policies, procedures and relevant legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in the continuous review and evaluation of policies, guidelines and existing practices.
- To participate actively in matters relating to audit that is set out in the Department
- Assist in promoting a culture of continuous quality improvement across the department.
- Be aware of the core objectives, standards and key performance indicators (KPI’s) for the service and contribute to the monitoring of performance against these standards.
- Participate in the requirements of the hospitals accreditation process.
- Participate in the requirements of the hospital’s risk management programme.
- Promote the delivery of a high standard of care to all patients.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE
Qualifications:
Leaving Certificate or equivalent
EXPERIENCE:
2 years’ experience in administration
Familiar with a computerised patient information systems i.e. PACS
The ability to interact and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary staff members within the Hermitage Medical Clinic.

Responsibilities:
JOB PURPOSE
A Radiology PACS Administration Assistant is required to provide a professional and customer focused service to our referring consultant clients and their patients attending our hospital. The PACS administration assistant will report to the PACS Manager.
PERFORMANCE OF DUTIES
- Utilise department protocols and set standards to continually undertake administration and customer service procedures of the highest quality
- Execute their duties courteously and professionally at all times and seek to ensure that the highest level of customer service is provided by the Radiology department
- Participate in weekend duties
Perform other appropriate duties which may be required from time-to-time by the PACS Manager.
