We have an exciting opportunity for an innovative and dedicated Occupational Therapist with skills, knowledge to be part of a growing team of OTs, supporting children and young people between the ages of 0-18 years.
You will be joining a skilled team who will provide you with a broad range of clinical experiences to ensure you develop the specialist skills you require to progress your OT career. Experience will be gained in a variety of clinical settings including clinics, schools and client homes.
We are part of a multi-disciplinary therapies team who work to deliver a high quality service for the children of Newham and their families. Within the Child Development Service, the team work closely with multidisciplinary partners such as Dietitians, Paediatricians, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Specialist Nurses,
The post-holder will manage their own caseload, There will be opportunity for the post holder to be involved in service improvement, audit and QI.
The successful applicant will have relevant experience of working with children and families.
The successful applicant will work with children with a range of conditions. You will be involved in our Parent Coaching Pathway working with parents of children who are of pre-school age and also those moving into Key Stage 1 who have social communication difficulties.
You will spend some of your week working in our schools, as part of an OT School Hub that will involve delivering training, supporting coffee mornings for families and supporting the school staff to set up groups in school.
