Located predominantly in Parkdale, we are seeking Paediatric Speech Pathologists (Grade 1 or Grade 2) to join our experienced and remarkable multi-disciplinary team. We strive to create a supportive, nurturing atmosphere across all BHN clinic that benefits both clients and clinicians. Become part of a dynamic and positive team that includes Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Dietitians, Physiotherapists and Allied Health Assistants to provide children and their families with services under the community health and NDIS funding stream.
In addition to regular team meetings and multidiscipline case consulting services, we encourage peer support learning and professional development opportunities, including clinical and operational supervision.

Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide Speech Pathology services to children aged 0-12 years, including formal and informal assessment, care planning, therapy delivery, reporting, and discharge while using a Family-Centered approach.
  • Work collaboratively as a member of the multidisciplinary team, and with the wider organization, to best meet a family’s needs and priorities.
  • Foster best practice pediatric speech pathology within the service, ensuring that the standard of care is maintained at the highest possible level.
  • Plan and facilitate group therapy sessions for children and their families, providing services across clinical areas including speech, language, fluency, and pragmatics.
  • Actively participate and contribute to the ongoing development of effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders as part of an integrated health services team.

About You:

  • Professionally Qualified Speech Pathologist
  • Passion for working with children, young people and their parents/carers
  • Understanding of and interest in the NDIS
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver Speech Pathology specific assessments and interventions.
  • A desire to be part of a supportive team, eager to contribute and learn together.
  • Autism assessment skills and treatment planning experience (not essential but desirable).
