ABOUT THE ROLE
Yooralla has a vacancy for a passionate, positive relationship builder, with experience working with a transdisciplinary/multidisciplinary team model to join our team as a permanent, full-time or part-time, Paediatric Speech Pathologist. This fulfilling role will provide best practice, evidence-based speech pathology services across the scope of practice to children with a disability to achieve their goals and live the life they choose.
Your working days may involve:
- delivering therapy in people’s homes, educational settings or in the community; aimed at maximising a person’s functional skills and participation as well as promoting physical health and wellbeing
- communication skills and/or mealtime safety and promoting overall health and wellbeing.
- working part of an interdisciplinary team of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Psychologists
- providing indirect client service/family coordination to support client goals.
To be successful in this role you’ll share Yooralla’s values and have:
- experience working within a transdisciplinary/multidisciplinary team model
- the ability to build positive relationships with clients and their families
- the opportunity to build on your clinical practice – including the ability to self-reflect and a focus on developing clinical skills in areas you’re not familiar with
- care for the work you do and for the people you work with
- competency in a variety of IT platforms, particularly client management systems
- good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- an Australian driver’s licence and own vehicle, and a willingness to travel across southern suburbs as require
