Description:
PAID ON CALL FIREFIGHTER - REDWATER
Sturgeon County is seeking up to four (4) Paid On-Call Firefighters to join us at Station 1, Calahoo. The primary responsibilities of this position as a Probationary Firefighter are firefighter training and formal courses, emergency response, and vehicle/equipment maintenance. There is room for advancement as training is completed!
KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND EXPERIENCE
- Live within 10km of the Calahoo fire station.
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Class 5 Drivers License
- Good organizational skills
- Basic computer skills
- Maintain confidentiality
- Good communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Confident and able to work under pressure in stressful situations
- Team player capable of working in a team environment
