LOADER OPERATOR/YARD MANAGER

Yard manager and loader/forklift operator.
Duties include yard sales, yard and grounds maintenance, inventory management and equipment operation.
Equipment operated includes loaders, forklifts, excavator, log loader, screen plant, firewood processor, etc.
We are looking for someone that is motivated, enjoys working outside, is comfortable on equipment, and takes pride ina job well done.
Need to physically fit and willing to use a shovel when needed. You don’t have to be someone with a lot of experience, but rather someone who is eager to learn.

Requirements

• Certified heavy equipment operator
• Forklift and loader operator experience and asset
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License and asset
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations
• Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment recommendations
• Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the day
• Strong communication skills
• Able to operate chainsaws
• Help with general clean up around the yard and equipmen

• Report project progress to owners
• Develop a work schedule for workers
• Supervise yard workers
• Be the liaison between workers and supervisors
• Assign tasks to workers
• Operates various types of heavy equipment
• Operates equipment in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with regulations, policies and procedures
• Performs equipment safety, maintenance checks and routine repairs
• Repairs and maintains equipment, making emergency adjustments as necessary
• Signals directions or warnings to coworkers
• Takes actions to avoid potential hazards and obstructions, such as utility lines other equipment, other workers, and falling objects
• Keeps records of material and equipment usage and problems encountered
• Assist the team with other duties as required

Wage dependent on experience - Full-Time position available - Immediate opening
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00-$32.00 per hour
