Collegiate Management Services, part of the AmTrust group, is the UK’s largest Professional Indemnity MGA. We provide niche insurance solutions to professionals to ensure they have the right protection to meet their liabilities.
We are currently looking for a Paralegal to join our London based team.
This role will be to work in claims department’s new “ClaimsPlus” offering. This is a service design to provide additional assistance to insured firms with the drafting of Pre-Action Protocol letters of response (and similar) on cases with an estimated potential loss of under £200,000.
Exact duties will include but are not limited to:
- Request and assess documentation from insured firms in order to develop a response strategy
- Draft letters of response and other correspondence for insured firms, having regard to the scope of the service
- Assist in the creation of templates and wording banks to assist in the efficient creation of letters of response
- Conducting legal research on services such as PracticalLaw
- Handling of correspondence with insureds, brokers, insurers and claimants
To be successful in this role, you will need to have proven experience dealing with professional negligence (defence) work and good working knowledge of writing letters of response and pre-action protocols, experience of professional indemnity claims would also be preferred but not essential. In addition to this, strong communication skills both written and verbal, excellent attention to detail and being a highly self-motivated individual with the desire to work in a busy and fast paced environment, happy to work both alone and as a team on group based tasks is essential.
