Description:
Wedlake Bell are urgently recruiting an Arabic-speaking Paralegal (Saudi dialect) to join our Art & Luxury team on a 6-month contract to support an ongoing Arts law project.
Our Art & Luxury team is a leading practice worldwide in their field, regularly instructed on record-breaking high-value transactions and disputes. They advise a range of clients from artists, private collectors and international galleries through to governments, state institutions, museums, lenders, philanthropists and art fairs.
The team are currently involved in a large-scale project reviewing regulatory frameworks worldwide, and need a paralegal with Arabic (Saudi dialect) language skills to support them. The day-to-day workload will involve translations, conducting legal research, and contributing to client reports. There is an opportunity to undertake fee-earning work on this and other matters.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a paralegal to join and immediately get involved with high-level and high-profile work. Aside from Saudi Arabic language skills, we are seeking someone ideally from a legal background with a passion for Art and developed research skills.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have native-level spoken and written Arabic language skills in the Saudi dialect;
- Must be immediately available;
- Ideally (but not essential) have a relevant legal qualification - law degree, or legal post-graduate qualification in a related field;
- Excellent communication skills – must be able to interact and communicate effectively across all levels of seniority and on both an internal and external basis;
- Able to work well under pressure and in keeping with deadlines;
- Must have excellent attention to detail;
- Strong IT, organizational skills; and
- Able to manage own workload and show initiative.
Responsibilities:
- Translating both documents and to relevant stakeholders in meetings;
- Carrying out legal research on arts law and worldwide jurisdictions;
- Drafting legal documents;
- Supporting the due diligence for transactions;
- Identify potential issues / complications in ongoing maters and liaise with key internals (i.e property and tax partners); and
- Other ad-hoc administration as relates to ongoing matters.
