HYBRID WORK MODEL

Job Description
As a Paralegal/Contract Administrator you will collaborate closely with Assent’s legal team to ensure smooth legal operations, drawing on your understanding of commercial and corporate law. You’ll manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, interacting with clients at all levels across the organization. With a keen eye for detail, you excel at reviewing and optimizing processes, driving improvements, and maintaining organization. A constant learner who thrives on change, you balance competing priorities with ease, keeping everyone informed and everything in order. Your strong interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with your interest in learning about Assent’s products and business objectives, make you an invaluable team player who thrives in a collaborative, hardworking environment.

A Paralegal/Law Clerk Degree, or equivalent professional experience in contract administration

  • Experience in contract management, either in-house or at a law firm, with a strong background in drafting commercial agreements, including NDAs, sales, and procurement.
  • Incredible organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects, initiatives, and stakeholders simultaneously while prioritizing effectively, working efficiently, and demonstrating flexibility as workloads fluctuate with minimal supervision.
  • A solutions-oriented, can-do attitude with a positive outlook and proactive approach to puzzle-solving, driven by resourcefulness and a genuine curiosity about how things work
  • Meticulous attention to detail and keen observation skills, enabling you to notice even the smallest details and identify opportunities for improvement

Responsibilities:

  • Workflow Organization: Assist in organizing workflows for the legal team, ensuring smooth operations and streamlined processes.
  • Process Improvement: Support the review and development of new processes to enhance team efficiency, productivity, and overall impact.
  • System Setup: Help establish new intake systems and tools to maintain organization and
  • efficiency within the legal team.
  • Template Management: Organize and build a comprehensive library of templates for use by both team members and internal stakeholders.
  • Contract and Agreement Updates: Assist in updating agreement templates and online terms to reflect the most current legal standards.
  • Contract Lifecycle Management: Support the management of contract lifecycles, including redlining, validating execution versions, and storing executed contracts securely.
  • Drafting and Preparing Contracts: Assist in preparing and drafting routine contracts, such as NDAs and simple service agreements, under the supervision of legal counsel.
  • Project Management: Support or manage various legal projects as they arise, ensuring timely and effective completion.
  • Client Communication: Serve as a key communicator with internal business clients, providing support in all areas mentioned above.
