Description:
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- 2:1 Law Degree or 2:1 Degree having completed the Graduate Conversion Course or 2:1 Degree with evidence of relevant legal knowledge and work experience
- An understanding of the Public Law Outline
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Hours of work: 9.00am to 5.00pm, Monday-Friday
Completion of the LPC and Family Law Elective and/or relevant work experience is highly desirable but not necessary - a passion for family law and social justice is a must

ABOUT THE ROLE
We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time, permanent, talented, articulate, and driven Paralegal with a passion for family law to join our Cambridge office. The role is to provide casework support to the public law team which means that you will be actively involved at all stages of contentious litigation helping to represent parents and children who are involved in care proceedings with Cambridgeshire, Suffolk or Norfolk local authorities.
Family Law Group encourages career development and therefore we are keen to hear from candidates who are actively seeking a route to qualify as a family law legal practitioner, whether that is via the SQE or with a view to obtaining a Training Contract.
Due to the nature of this role, we are looking for someone who can pick up the work quickly and hit the ground running. It is preferable that the successful candidate will have experience working in family law and/or some knowledge of care proceedings processes and law. The candidate will have a passion for family law, human rights and social welfare.
The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal, communication and team skills with the ability to manage their own workload proactively and effectively and liaise with and influence staff at all levels of the business. As well as gaining invaluable experience within a specialist legal firm, you will benefit from the opportunities provided within a busy team enabling the right candidate to develop and progress a career as a legal professional.
