POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Commercial Paralegal to join our team. In this role, you will work with our global sales and distributions teams as well as global functions including Supply Chain, Quality & Compliance, IT, Finance, Marketing, and the People team. You will support a wide range of commercial matters.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 5-10 years as a paralegal at a recognized law firm and/or an in-house legal department.
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial transactions.
  • Advanced proficiency with Office 365, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Prefer experience with consumer goods and/or retail companies.

Responsibilities:

  • Review, redline, and negotiate commercial agreements to support outbound sales and inbound purchasing engagements.
  • Assist business teams in drafting and preparing operational documents that are ancillary to definitive agreements (e.g., policies and guidelines).
  • Serve as the first point of contact to various business functions for NDAs, amendments, and SOWs.
  • Summarize agreements for business stakeholders and the Legal team.
  • Create contracting standards and forms to support contracting processes.
  • Collaborate with the HAVI Contracts Management team to store, organize, and manage contracts.
  • Assist with the creation and maintenance of company policies.
  • Create and deliver training to business teams that are involved with contracts.
  • Ad hoc projects at the request of the attorneys.
