We are looking for a talented Paralegal to join our Court of Protection team in Leeds. The successful candidate will be required to attend the Leeds office 5 days a week.

  • Ideally hold a Law degree or equivalent but this is not essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with the management of client finances under the supervision of the deputy which would include; paying invoices, purchasing equipment, setting up new bank accounts and standing orders, assisting with the management of household utilities, preparing spreadsheets, managing budgets, taking notes during client meetings, liaising with case managers and the therapeutic team about the needs of the client amongst other day to day tasks.
  • Liaising with client’s and their families as and when necessary.
  • Liaising with the Court of Protection and the Office of the Public Guardian.
  • Achieve time recording and fee income targets to ensure profitable working.
  • Attend and contribute to team/practice area meetings and comply with directions/decisions made to ensure team objectives are achieved.
  • Keep up to date with changes in relevant law and practice and attend appropriate training events to ensure up to date legal knowledge and best practice.
