POSITION OVERVIEW:

Diligent is seeking a talented, collaborative, and experienced Paralegal to assist the EMEA legal team, with a focus on German, Austrian, and Swiss markets, and provide support with contract administration and employment matters. The role will involve reviewing legal documents and sorting documents in accordance with filing system along with drafting legal documents and amending documents, as necessary.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

  • 3-4 years’ experience with contract administration with strong emphasis on software agreements.
  • Fluency in German and English is required.
  • Multinational experience in EMEA is highly desirable.
  • Ability to read and understand contractual terms with strong experience in reviewing and amending agreements.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to be flexible to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and good analytical skills.
  • Experience in assisting and providing support for employment matters with legal counsel.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft O365, Salesforce, DocuSign and legal software.
  • Familiarity with European regulations and data protection work applicable to tech companies (e.g., DORA, DSA, EBA Guideline, GDPR, AI Act, etc.).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage comfortably at all levels with internal clients, both within EMEA and internationally.
  • Highly motivated, strategic, detail-oriented individual with the ability to proactively manage a heavy workload and demonstrate excellent analytical abilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and interpret contracts and other legal documents as requested by the Commercial Legal team.
  • Drafting documents using in-house templates.
  • Managing templates and distributing to proper business groups to ensure most recent versions are being utilized.
  • Interact with internal business partners and is a subject matter expert for contracts administration-related issues.
  • Process documents for signatures via DocuSign.
  • Tracking outstanding legal items for the team.
  • Scanning, filing and organizing documents.
  • Providing general legal support on an as-needed basis.
  • Assist with corporate governance and entity maintenance within DACH.
