POSITION SUMMARY

This is your chance to be part of an in-house Legal team at a top global hospitality company! As a Paralegal, you will support the team in guiding Hilton’s legal activities to ensure maximum protection while engaging in global business and ensuring compliance with our legal obligations. On the EMEA Legal team, reporting to Senior Counsel - Operations EMEA, you will work with the Operations function to provide effective contentious and non-contentious legal support to business partners, regional offices, and to hotels across the EMEA region. You will also work with the Development team, assisting with management and franchise agreements for new hotel projects and provide support on amendments, variations and other issues relating to any such agreements once signed. Finally, you will work on matters relating to Hilton’s real estate portfolio.

IT WOULD BE ADVANTAGEOUS IN THIS POSITION FOR YOU TO DEMONSTRATE THE FOLLOWING CAPABILITIES AND DISTINCTIONS:

  • Either of the first two qualifications detailed above (or equivalent) AND experience in a law firm and / or in-house legal department
  • Understanding of hotel sector and hotel operations.

Responsibilities:

  • At least one of the following:
  • Law degree from a ‘common law’ jurisdiction (or equivalent professional training);
  • Completion of the Legal Practice Course or Bar Vocational Course (or equivalent professional training)
  • Experience in a law firm and/or in-house legal department as a paralegal (or equivalent position)
  • Commercial law experience, including drafting and negotiating commercial contracts and

understanding of corporate structures

  • Strong IT skills and numerically literate
  • Proficient in carrying out legal research
  • Ability to travel when required to do so (up to 5%)
