The successful candidate will be joining a dynamic and busy team dedicated to representing claimants in industrial disease cases. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and aspiring Paralegal to contribute to the success of our esteemed Industrial Disease team that specialises in asbestos disease claims.

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Paralegal, preferably within the area of personal injury or industrial disease claims.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, particularly in preparing legal documents and managing case files.
  • Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients, fee earners, and Counsel.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Proficient in legal research and adept at using relevant case management and document management systems.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen interest in learning and professional development within the legal sector.

Responsibilities:

  • Support fee earners in managing casework related to industrial disease claims.
  • Prepare and draft court documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal procedures.
  • Assist in the gathering and organisation of evidence to support claimant cases.
  • Aid in the preparation and completion of witness statements and schedules of loss.
  • Coordinate and attend meetings with Counsel, supporting discussions on case strategies and settlements.
  • Provide overall administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of case management and client interactions.
  • Supporting with business development initiatives.
