Role Introduction
We are looking for a Paralegal to join a client on a full-time secondment to work on a broad variety of unusual and complex insurance claims in areas such as political risk, trade credit, and aviation, amongst others. You will have the chance to work on both domestic and international claims and litigation/arbitration with the client team on a daily basis in a fast-paced, agile environment. This is an opportunity for someone at the start of their career looking for a role where you will gain excellent exposure to Partners at DACB, and senior team members on client site giving plenty of opportunities for development, progression, and mentoring. Please note: this role will require the successful applicant to be onsite 5 days per week in Central London. Only apply if you are able to able to meet this requirement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Case management of a wide variety of unusual, complex, interesting cases
  • Documentation analysis, management, and organisation
  • Drafting legal documentation
  • Requesting and reviewing legal advice and liaising with counsel (internal and external)
  • Reviewing insurance policies to identify coverage and compliance requirements
  • Assisting more senior members of the team

The Ideal Candidate

  • A 2:1 degree in a Law-related subject and passed the LPC/SQE
  • Strong communication skills- both written and verbal
  • A can-do attitude with the ability to juggle multiple tasks at once
  • The desire to forge a career in the legal and/or insurance sector
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • An ability to work well under pressure to meet required deadlines.
