Description:

PARALEGAL INTERN

Salary: £21,000
Location: Warwick Head Office
12-month placement (30th June 2025 – 10th July 2026)
Working Hours: 37.5 hours a week Monday- Friday. 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays.

CURRENT DEGREE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Studying for a qualifying law degree (LLB).
  • 2 years completed – placement between 2nd & 3rd study years.
  • Academic grades on track for a First or High 2:1 in their chosen studies.
    Volvo Financial Services (VFS) is a global company and in the UK employs over 90 people. We provide financial services to the truck, bus and coach and construction. With Volvo Financial Services, you will be part of a global and diverse team providing expert financial services and solutions to customers and dealers in support of the Volvo Group’s sales.
    As a paralegal intern, you will be working on various projects within different areas of law as well as assisting the Legal Counsel with regular team responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reviewing and updating contractual templates to reflect changes in legislation.
  • Assisting with drafting commercial contracts.
  • Identifying and implementing necessary changes in business processes to reflect regulatory change.
  • Drafting Internal policy documentation, briefing notes, and training materials to educate the business on legal issues.
  • Carrying out Due diligence and taking steps to mitigate risk, as part of the compliance function.
  • Participation in additional stand-alone team projects.
  • Any other duties that may be reasonably requested by your manager.
  • Conducting research via legal research websites.
