Description:
Paralegal
We’re currently looking to recruit a Paralegal on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract reporting into our Head of Legal (Dispute Resolution & Legal Operations). This role will have responsibility for providing paralegal and administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the day-to-day operations of the Dispute Resolution team, including but not limited to, assisting with the provision of legal support and document management.
Location: Flexible, hybrid working with occasional travel to London
Contract: Fixed Term (12 months with possibility to be made permanent), able to consider full-time and part-time opportunities
Responsibilities:
RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Paralegal, your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Assisting the Head of Legal and Senior Legal Counsel with legal tasks including preparing legal documents and research notes;
- Assisting with the maintenance of the team’s SharePoint (assisting with storage and collation of documents on the platform (including legal correspondence and documents, presentations, agreed legal budgets/estimates etc.)); and
- Assisting the Head of Legal with establishing a dispute resolution toolkit including legal training, checklists for use by the Group to ensure best practise when it comes to dispute avoidance and resolution.
This role of Paralegal is great for you if you have:
- Previous experience in a paralegal role covering dispute resolution.
- A “can do” attitude, pro-active mindset, highly organised and able to multi-task.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and able to build positive relationships across all levels of seniority.
- Effective IT skills and proficiency in the use of Office 365: Word, PowerPoint, Excel and SharePoint and other document management systems.
- Skills that enable you to manage confidential information/data and maintain high levels of professionalism.
- Team player qualities.
- Qualifications: Law LLB; a specialist paralegal qualification (e.g. CLT); an award in legal studies; legal secretary certificate or diploma; or National Association of Licensed Paralegals practice award, certificate or diploma, (or equivalent)
