Description:

The Paralegal will assist in all aspects of legal case preparation and management, including drafting legal documents, conducting research, and organizing case files. Must have strong communication and organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. A diploma/degree in paralegal studies or related field is required. Must have Dispute Resolution / Arbitration Management experience and be familiar with e-Litigation / iFams / ICMS / CJTS / Probate eService / Divorce eService.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Candidates applying for this role should possess a diploma or a degree in law qualification with a minimum of 1-2 year of relevant legal experience in a local firm.;
  • Candidates must be able to use the Microsoft Office suite / Zoom / Microsoft Teams;
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English; and
  • Candidate must be meticulous, organised, hard-working, dilligent with strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for day-to-day handling of the case files and providing full secretarial support including providing legal/administrative and e-filing support to the Partners in all litigation matters.
  • Able to handle e-Litigation and other eService Platforms;
  • Liaising and managing clients;
  • Drafting legal correspondence and Court Documents;
  • Conducting legal research;
  • Taking attendance notes/minutes in Court and in client meetings;
  • General bookkeeping
  • Liaising with external accountants;
  • Preparing and issuing invoices/cheques;
  • General IT support; and
  • Other ad-hoc administrative duties;
