Description:
We have an opportunity for a hard-working Paralegal looking for a new opportunity to join our growing Regulatory & Professional Conduct Team to assist with our TRA (Teaching Regulation Agency) work.
The Teaching Regulation Agency “TRA” is an executive agency of the DfE and is tasked with considering allegations of serious professional misconduct by teachers.
We are a Panel firm providing Presenting Officer (PO) services to assist the DfE in the investigation, and case presentation of cases in tribunal hearings concerning alleged teacher misconduct.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
Experience in professional discipline/misconduct work would be advantageous or experience in other contentious regulatory/ crime experience is welcomed.
Ability to work as part of a team and be willing to work independently where required (but with appropriate level of supervision as needed).
Strong organisational and communication skills, written and verbal.
Responsibilities:
- Handling caseloads, filing and document management.
- Preparing case strategies
- Drafting letters and correspondence, bundling and undertaking research.
- Managing a variety of tasks across a number of cases at any given time. Gathering evidence, drafting witness statements, corresponding with third parties
- Working to KPIs
