Description:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Personal Injury Plaintiff-Side Paralegal to join our legal team. This professional will be responsible for assisting attorneys in all stages of personal injury cases, from commencement to impending resolution. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly accomplished firm and prominent attorney team. This will be fully in office in Downtown Minneapolis.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
A minimum of a high school diploma is required; a bachelor’s degree or paralegal certification is preferred.
At least two years of experience in Plaintiff-Side Personal Injury Law preferred.
Strong understanding of the legal terminology and principles relevant to personal injury laws in Minnesota
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and case management software.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Highly organized and detailed-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Ability to maintain client confidentiality.

Responsibilities:
Conduct initial case investigation to determine, in the attorney’s judgment, whether an actionable injustice has occurred.
Draft legal documents, including but not limited to pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, affidavits, and memos under attorney supervision.
Handle client intake and correspond with clients to answer questions and keep them informed about case developments.
Manage case deadlines and keep the attorney aware of upcoming deadlines.
Organize, digitize, and maintain case files using modern databases and cloud-based storage systems.
Obtain, review, and analyze medical records, wage loss documentation, and other loss-related documentation.
Maintain communication with insurance companies, opposing counsel, court officials, and other necessary parties.
Assist attorneys in litigation preparation, including preparing for depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trial.
Perform legal research as directed and assist with drafting legal content for the firm’s website, blogs, and newsletters.
