Description:
QUALIFICATIONS :
Experience in labor and employment law within a municipal setting.
Proficiency in PACER and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Knowledge of Civil Service Act, collective bargaining, and meet-and-confer agreements.
Familiarity with EEOC processes and government agency interactions.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Paralegal Certificate is NOT required, but relevant experience is essential.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
Previous experience working in a municipal law firm.
Familiarity with local government processes and labor laws.

Responsibilities:
Assist attorneys in labor and employment litigation, including case preparation and trial support.
Manage and organize litigation documents and correspondence.
Draft and file legal documents, motions, pleadings, and discovery responses.
Coordinate and communicate with government agencies and regulatory bodies (EEOC, etc.).
Conduct legal research related to labor and employment matters, including civil service laws, collective bargaining, and meet-and-confer procedures.
Track case progress through PACER and maintain an organized case docket.
Prepare exhibits, witness lists, and other trial materials.
Maintain and update client files and ensure compliance with deadlines.
Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
Utilize Microsoft Office for document creation, organization, and presentation.
