Description:

We are seeking a Paralegal to join our team in Chicago, Illinois. This role is in the Real Estate industry and will require a strong understanding of Real Estate Law. As a Paralegal, you will be responsible for assisting in legal matters, maintaining accurate records, and providing support for various legal proceedings.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of legal documents and contracts related to real estate transactions.
  • Conduct research on real estate laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Maintain accurate records of all legal documents and proceedings.
  • Liaise with clients, attorneys, and other parties involved in real estate transactions.
  • Assist in resolving legal issues and disputes related to real estate.
  • Provide support during legal proceedings, such as court hearings and closings.
  • Draft legal reports and correspondence as required.
  • Assist in the review and negotiation of real estate contracts.
  • Contribute to the development of legal strategies and solutions in real estate matters.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination between various parties involved in real estate transactions.
  • Possession of a Paralegal Certificate or equivalent education is required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Real Estate Law is essential.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are necessary.
  • Strong research and report-generating skills are needed.
  • Proficiency in legal research software like Westlaw or LexisNexis is expected.
  • Profound understanding of legal terminology and principles.
  • Proven ability to manage and maintain sensitive and confidential information.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Commitment to maintaining high detail oriented ethical standards.
  • Familiarity with document management and filing systems.
