Description:
We are seeking a Paralegal to join our team located in Scottsdale, Arizona. The role involves a focus on Probate, Estates, and Trusts, and will require the use of skills in Probate & Estate Administration, Probate Litigation, Calendaring, Drafting, Trial Preparation, Clio, and Microsoft Word.
Responsibilities:
- Handle probate and estate administration tasks, ensuring all legal requirements are met.
- Be involved in probate litigation, preparing and reviewing legal documents as necessary.
- Manage calendaring for legal proceedings, ensuring all deadlines and dates are accurately recorded and met.
- Draft legal documents, contracts, and letters related to probate, estates, and trusts.
- Prepare for trials, including gathering evidence, coordinating witnesses, and researching case law.
- Use Clio for case management, including tracking time, managing cases, and organizing documents.
- Utilize Microsoft Word for drafting and editing legal documents and correspondence.
- Continuously update and maintain accurate customer records.
- Resolve customer inquiries in a timely and detail oriented manner.
- Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action as necessary.
- Candidate must possess at least 2 years of experience as a Paralegal.
- Proficiency in Probate & Estate Administration and Probate Litigation is required.
- Must possess skills in Calendaring, Drafting, and Trial Preparation.
- Working knowledge of Clio and Microsoft Word is mandatory.
- Applicant must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Must possess the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification in Paralegal studies is preferred.
- Prior experience in a law firm or corporate legal department is a plus.
- Familiarity with legal research tools and public records databases is advantageous.
